3D Artist – Light/VFX (Intern)

Hey, 3D genius!

Do you enjoy playing with light and special effects? We have a lot in common then. We are looking for someone who will bring that to the next level with the help of our experts, but you will be provided with a lot of freedom for creativity!

Your role at a glance

• Assist in creating and implementing lighting setups to enhance the mood, atmosphere, and overall visual appeal of scenes
• Contribute to the creation and integration of high-quality visual effects, such as particle systems, explosions, fire, smoke, and other dynamic elements
• Implement lighting and VFX assets into the production pipeline, ensuring that they are optimized for real-time performance or pre-rendered scenes
• Work on different lighting techniques, including key, fill, and rim lighting to achieve desired effects

Skills and toolset

• Currently pursuing or recently completed an hbo/mbo degree in 3D Art, Animation, Visual Effects, or a related field
• Proficiency in 3D software such as Maya, 3DS Max, Blender, or similar
• Experience with VFX software like Houdini, After Effects, Nuke, or similar
• Familiarity with game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity) and their lighting/VFX tools
• A keen eye for detail, color, composition, and lighting
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling and the ability to create mood and atmosphere through lighting and effects
• Knowledge of real-time rendering techniques and optimization practices
